Our Hotel have a privileged location, inside the historic Monserrat
neighborhood. Meters away from the "Obelisco" one of the most widely

This neighborhood keeps all the history of the city and the
country. It can be easly seen on its buildings and squares, almost each
one now declared historic buildings. From its origins it was an spanish
neighborhood, whose immigrants settled specialy on the "De Mayo" Avenue
and also Belgrano and Rivadavia Avenues. The "Reconquista" and
"Defensa" celebrations of the city from 1806 and 1807, was done on the
Mayor square, (then called "Plaza de la Victoria") until 1810, when it
was stage of the Mayo revolution. On 1811 the "Pirámide de Mayo"
was rised, first historic monument of Buenos Aires, one year later
declared National Historic Monument. It's a little pyramid of 13 meters
high, wich his top was added in 1856. In its square was where the Independence was swored on november 13 of 1816, and the National Constitution in 1860. |
